I love Mountain Biking!
Mike Rischitelli and I went for a killer little ride this evening. Starting at the new parking lot in Bent Creek->Homestead->Little Creek->PineTree->Explorer->??? Road->upper Explorer->Chestnutt->South Boundary->479->Lower Sidehill->Sidehill Connector->??? Road-> Explorer->Pinetree the other way->Homestead. We started out fast, we continued going fast, and we ended the ride by going wicked fast. The trees are just really starting to change and that made for an interesting ride. The texture of the ground has changed since the last time I was out there. The ground was tacky but had the potential to let loose at any moment because of the new covering of damp leaves. The colors on the ground were remarkable. The ferns are bright yellow and the leaves added bright splashes of red, yellow, and orange everywhere. The big fall hasn't happened yet, we're still a few weeks away, and the temps were in the high 60's. Perfect conditions for mountain biking. The sun is going down fast these days but we were still able to knock out about an hour and a half of riding.
